TO

The Honourable Margaret Jean White AO; and
Michael Lloyd Gooda

GREETING

WHEREAS We, by Our Letters Patent issued in Our name by Our Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, appointed you to be a Commission of inquiry, required and authorised you to inquire into certain matters, and required you to submit to our Governor-General a report of the results of your inquiry, and your recommendations, not later than 31 March 2017.

AND it is desired to amend Our Letters Patent.

NOW THEREFORE We do, by these Our Letters Patent issued in Our name by Our Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia on the advice of the Federal Executive Council and under the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Australia, the Royal Commission Act 1902 and every other enabling power, amend the Letters Patent issued to you by omitting paragraph (p) of the Letters Patent and substituting the following paragraphs:

  1. require you to submit to our Governor-General an interim report of the results of your inquiry, and any recommendations for early consideration, not later than 31 March 2017; and
  2. require you to submit to Our Governor-General a final report of the results of your inquiry, and your recommendations, not later than 1 August 2017.

IN WITNESS, We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent.
