Interim observations

The Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements published Interim observations on 31 August 2020. The observations relate to some, but not all of the issues addressed in the report including:

• National coordination and accountability
• Declaration of national emergency
• National information systems
• Opportunities for improvements in national mitigation and preparedness arrangements
• Opportunities for improvements in national response arrangements
• Opportunities for improvements in national recovery arrangements.
